September 22 is an official Riot Support calendar date, but it is still subject to change. Riot has not announced another 7.2 lettered patch or a date for 7.3a, so this page does not manufacture either one.

Every Wild Rift patch released in 2026

Riot has published 22 named global patch-note entries in 2026 through September 2: major versions 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2, plus 19 lettered updates. Each appears once below. Champion announcements and event start dates stay inside the milestone column instead of inflating the patch count.

How to read the dates: “Notes published” is the timestamp on Riot's article. “Confirmed live date” appears only when Riot separately stated a deployment time. A dash means Riot did not publish a distinct global activation time; it does not mean the update failed to ship.

The next confirmed Wild Rift update

Riot has one future global date on its 2026 schedule. The company has also called 7.3 a large update, but a full preview and final patch notes were not live when this page was verified.

No future lettered date is confirmed. Riot deliberately leaves 7.2a-style balance releases out of its advance calendar because their timing is more fluid. There may be another balance or server-side update before September 22, but assigning it a version or date now would be speculation.

How Wild Rift patch numbers work

Wild Rift update timing on Android and iPhone

Wild Rift is distributed through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone and iPad. Ranked seasons do not share patch numbers

Patch 7.2 introduced Ranked Season 22 on July 10 at 03:00 UTC, one day after the major client update. Riot's public notes say S22 is expected to end in September but tell players to use the in-game Ranked queue for the exact schedule. Publishing a guessed end date would be misleading.
