The safest supported route for playing PUBG Mobile on a Windows PC is GameLoop, Tencent's Android emulator. Download it from GameLoop's official site, install PUBG Mobile inside the client, sign in with the same linked game account, and let the emulator's detection remain enabled. Emulator users are placed in an emulator-aware matchmaking pool.

GameLoop is a Windows application. PUBG Mobile has no native Windows client, and official PUBG Mobile esports competitions require approved handheld devices—not emulators.
What you need before installing PUBG Mobile on PC
GameLoop's older support pages list broad minimums, but a modern 64-bit Windows system is a more useful baseline. The recommendations below are practical targets, not an official promise of a specific frame rate.
| Component | Usable baseline | Better target |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | 64-bit Windows 10 | Current Windows 10 or 11 build |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Storage | At least 15 GB free | SSD with extra space for updates |
| Processor | Recent four-core Intel or AMD CPU | Modern six-core CPU |
| Graphics | DirectX-compatible dedicated or capable integrated GPU | Dedicated GPU with current driver |
Virtualization support can improve emulator performance. Check Task Manager > Performance > CPU for the “Virtualization” status. If it is disabled, use your PC or motherboard manufacturer's instructions; firmware menus differ, so do not copy an unrelated BIOS key sequence.
How to install PUBG Mobile on PC with GameLoop
- Open GameLoop's official website. Check the domain before downloading; avoid repacked installers and APK sites.
- Download the Windows installer, open it and choose an install drive with enough free space.
- Launch GameLoop and search for PUBG MOBILE in the client.
- Select Install and allow the emulator to download both the game and any required engine files.
- Open PUBG Mobile and sign in with the same linked login method used on your phone. A Guest profile is device-local and should not be your only recovery method.
- Download only the maps and resource packs you actually use, then restart the game before changing controls.
How emulator matchmaking works
PUBG Mobile detects normal emulator use. The queue is separated to protect touchscreen competition; if an emulator player joins mobile friends, their party enters an emulator-aware pool. Queue times and available modes can therefore differ from phone-only matchmaking.
Never use a bypass that hides the emulator. PUBG Mobile's security team classifies emulator-detection avoidance through a cracked or modified client as cheating and says violations can receive long bans. Normal GameLoop detection should remain visible.
Official PUBG Mobile esports rulebooks are stricter than everyday matchmaking: competition play is limited to approved handheld Android or iOS devices unless an organizer explicitly says otherwise.
Best GameLoop settings for stable performance
Stable frame time matters more than the highest visual preset. Change one setting group at a time, restart when GameLoop asks, and test in Training Grounds before entering ranked.
Low-end PC
Use 720p, Smooth graphics, a frame-rate option the PC can hold, no anti-aliasing, and close unnecessary launchers or browser tabs.
Mid-range PC
Start at 1080p with Smooth or Balanced graphics. Raise the frame-rate setting before visual quality, then watch for stutter during hot drops.
Renderer choice
Leave Auto first. If the client flickers, crashes or stutters, compare DirectX and OpenGL after updating the GPU driver. No renderer is universally fastest.
Keep the emulator resolution aligned with a normal 16:9 display and avoid assigning all CPU cores or all system RAM to GameLoop. Windows and voice chat still need resources. For the in-game side of the setup, use the PUBG Mobile settings guide as a starting point, then tune for your actual frame consistency.
Set up keyboard and mouse controls
GameLoop supplies a default Smart Control layout. Test movement, inventory, free look, leaning, map, healing and vehicle keys before changing sensitivity. If the control overlay no longer matches after a PUBG Mobile update, update GameLoop and reset the keymap before rebuilding it manually.
- Use one consistent mouse DPI; do not switch DPI per scope while learning recoil.
- Bind lean-left and lean-right where they do not interrupt movement.
- Separate crouch and prone so a panic input does not select the wrong stance.
- Keep interact, vehicle enter/exit and inventory away from accidental reload presses.
- Adjust camera and ADS values in Training Grounds rather than copying phone gyro values; a mouse does not use the phone's physical gyroscope.
New players should also review the PUBG Mobile beginner tips; mouse aim does not replace landing, cover and rotation decisions.
What about BlueStacks, LDPlayer or Google Play Games?
BlueStacks and LDPlayer can run Android games, but they are third-party emulators and are not PUBG Mobile's official PC route. Compatibility, keymapping and detection can break after game updates. This article previously ranked them as the “safest” choices without explaining that distinction; GameLoop is now the primary recommendation.
Google Play Games on PC only supports titles in its current catalog. Do not assume PUBG Mobile is available in every region or install a random APK into the client. If GameLoop does not support your system or region, a personal Android or iOS device is the dependable fallback.
GameLoop has no native macOS version. Mac owners can read the separate PUBG Mobile on Mac guide, but should verify current emulator compatibility before installing anything.
Fix lag, failed downloads and broken keymapping
| Problem | Safe checks |
|---|---|
| Low or unstable FPS | Update the GPU driver, enable a high-performance power mode while plugged in, lower resolution and graphics, and test another renderer. |
| Install stuck | Check disk space and GameLoop status, restart the client, then use its own Repair option. Do not disable antivirus globally. |
| Mouse will not lock | Use the displayed lock/unlock shortcut, reset Smart Controls and remove conflicting overlays. |
| Account progress missing | Sign out and select the exact linked login provider and region used on mobile. Do not create a new Guest profile over the old session. |
PUBG Mobile on PC FAQ
Is PUBG Mobile free on PC?
Yes. GameLoop and PUBG Mobile are free to download. Optional UC purchases remain separate; the PUBG Mobile top-up page is not required to install or play.
Can you play with friends on phones?
You can form a party when account and regional conditions allow it, but the presence of an emulator player moves the team into emulator-aware matchmaking.
Will your mobile progress carry over?
It should when you use the same linked account and region. Guest accounts are not a reliable cross-device login method.
Is PUBG Mobile the same as PUBG: Battlegrounds on Steam?
No. They are separate games with different clients, accounts, progression, balance and content. Installing PUBG: Battlegrounds does not install the mobile version.
Sources and update policy
Installation and control guidance was checked against GameLoop's official PUBG Mobile pages and support notes. Matchmaking safety was checked against PUBG Mobile's official emulator-detection enforcement notice; tournament limitations use the current official competition rulebook. Compatibility is reviewed after major GameLoop or PUBG Mobile updates.
