How to Get Player Cards in VALORANT: Every Current Method

How to Get Player Cards in VALORANT: Every Current Method

AI Summary

You can get VALORANT player cards from Battle Passes, Agent Gear, featured bundles, Premier participation, limited events, official esports drops, official redeem codes and the rotating Accessories Store. The exact route determines whether a card costs VP, Kingdom Credits, event participation or nothing. Cards are cosmetic and do not change matchmaking or gameplay.

Last verified: August 27, 2026. Promotional codes and drops expire. A code published by Riot is genuine, but its official redemption result—not a third-party “active” label—is the final status check.

Battle Pass and Agent Gear cards

Check whether a Battle Pass card sits on the free or paid reward track before grinding its tier.

Battle Pass

Open the current pass, select the card and read both its tier and track. XP earned after the Act ends does not complete the old pass. Some older cards can later enter the Accessories Store, but there is no guaranteed wait time.

Agent Gear

Agent Gear replaced the old contract terminology for permanent Agent cosmetics.

Own the Agent, open the Agent page, choose View Gear and spend Kingdom Credits through the displayed tiers. Older pages still call this an Agent Contract; the current client uses Agent Gear.

Bundles and the Accessories Store

A featured cosmetic collection can include a card alongside weapon skins, sprays or buddies. Read the bundle contents and price; a card shown in promotional art is not automatically a standalone purchase.

The Accessories Store rotates older eligible Battle Pass cards, sprays, buddies and titles each week for Kingdom Credits. It excludes content from the current and three most recent passes, weapon and melee skins, FLEX items and Epilogue-specific rewards. Offers are personalized and already-owned items are omitted.

The old Battle Pass reward guide explains why card return eligibility does not mean old weapon skins can return.

Premier, events and esports drops

VALORANT Premier team lobby and competition interface
Premier card eligibility follows the current Stage's participation rules.

Premier has awarded Stage-specific player cards for playing the required match. Confirm the current Stage reward before queueing; an old Launch FAQ does not promise the same art forever.

Riot also uses global community events, Pick'Ems and VCT broadcasts. For example, Champions Paris 2025 granted its Grand Final card through a dated broadcast drop. Link the correct Riot account to the official platform before the event and claim the drop when required.

Player-card redeem codes

Riot published CC-VAL26-PLAYR-CARDS for its June 2026 Pride card set. The official announcement did not promise permanent availability, so the safe wording in August is: try the code only on Riot's official redemption page and accept Riot's result. Do not download a generator, pay for a public code or enter credentials on a copied login page.

Our VALORANT redeem-code tracker separates official, expired and unverified codes. Old campaign codes should remain in an expired table instead of being recycled as “active.”

How to equip a card and fix a missing reward

  1. Open Collection.
  2. Select the player-card or profile customization section.
  3. Choose the owned card and equip it.
  4. If a new reward is absent, restart the client and verify that you used the correct Riot account and region.
  5. Check the event's distribution date; some competitive rewards arrive after a Stage ends.
  6. Contact Riot Support with the campaign name and transaction or participation record if an eligible reward still does not appear.

For general client context, see the VALORANT game-mode guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can you buy any player card directly?

No. The route depends on the card. Some belong to bundles, some to Agent Gear or a pass, and some rotate in the Accessories Store.

Can old Battle Pass player cards return?

Eligible cards can appear in the Accessories Store after the exclusion window, but Riot does not guarantee a specific card or week.

Do player cards transfer between accounts?

No supported feature transfers an owned card to another Riot account. Avoid account-sale or credential-sharing workarounds.

Sources and update policy

Store and Accessories Store rules were checked against Riot Support. Premier, VCT drops and the 2026 Pride code were checked against Riot's official event posts. Time-limited routes are dated and reclassified after their windows end.
