Riot does not allow you to sell or transfer a Valorant account. Riot's Terms of Service say accounts and login credentials cannot be sold, transferred, shared or offered to another person. A third-party transaction can therefore end with account suspension, a recovery dispute, a chargeback or the loss of both the account and the payment.
The practical answer
There is no Riot-approved way to sell a Valorant account for cash. This page explains the rule, the factors people use for unofficial valuations and the risks you should understand. It does not provide instructions for bypassing Riot's controls or transferring credentials.

Can you sell a Valorant account under Riot's rules?
No. Section 1.5 of Riot's Terms says you cannot sell, transfer or allow another person to access your account or login credentials. Riot also describes the account and virtual content as a limited, revocable licence rather than property you own and may freely resell.
That distinction matters. A third-party site can facilitate an unofficial listing, but it cannot make the transfer compliant with Riot's rules. Riot can investigate unusual access, reverse access or apply penalties regardless of what a marketplace promises.

Why Valorant account sales can fail
Riot enforcement
A login pattern, ownership dispute or support investigation can expose a transfer. Suspension or termination remains possible even after payment clears.
Recovery dispute
Riot may ask for original account-creation details. The party holding the current password may still be unable to prove original ownership.
Payment reversal
Cards, payment processors and marketplaces can hold or reverse funds after fraud or chargeback claims. A visible balance is not always final settlement.
Privacy exposure
Receipts, original email records and identity documents can reveal more personal information than the account is worth.
A seller also cannot guarantee that a skin collection, rank history or rare title will remain usable. Riot may change content, regional access or account status, while the buyer may later claim the listing was inaccurate.
What affects an unofficial Valorant account value?
Riot provides no official resale value or appraisal tool. If you are assessing an unofficial listing, use a transparent inventory rather than an invented cash estimate. The following factors may influence what another person lists or offers, but none guarantees a sale.

How to evaluate an unofficial marketplace
No checklist removes the Riot-policy risk. It can, however, reveal a platform that is especially opaque. Before relying on any marketplace, review:
- Published fees: identify listing, withdrawal, currency-conversion and refund deductions before comparing offers.
- Payout timing: understand holds, settlement windows and the conditions that let a buyer dispute a transaction.
- Dispute rules: look for a written process, evidence standards and a real support channel rather than an anonymous social account.
- Data handling: check what identity information is collected, how it is stored and whether deletion is available.
- Listing evidence: screenshots should prove non-sensitive inventory details without revealing emails, receipts, real names or login information.
- Terms disclosure: avoid a platform that describes transfers as Riot-approved or guaranteed safe.
You may encounter Valorant account listings on 1v9; browsing listing formats can show which non-sensitive attributes are commonly compared. It does not make a transfer approved by Riot or eliminate suspension, recovery and payment risks.
Protect your privacy and recognize common scams
Do not disable multi-factor authentication or send a password because a stranger says it is required for “verification.” A marketplace or buyer asking for credentials in a direct message can take control before any protected transaction exists.
- Fake escrow: a copied website, spoofed email or impersonated moderator claims payment is being held.
- Overpayment: the buyer sends a fake receipt, asks for a refund of the difference, then reverses the original payment.
- Chargeback fraud: funds appear settled before the cardholder reports the payment as unauthorized.
- Phishing: a link imitates Riot login, email or payment pages to collect credentials.
- Recovery conflict: either party later asks Riot Support to restore access and supplies competing ownership evidence.
- Untraceable payment pressure: gift cards or irreversible crypto transfers remove ordinary dispute protection.
Keep public screenshots limited to the in-game collection, rank and region. Redact Riot ID suffixes, email addresses, transaction IDs, real names and support correspondence. Never upload identity documents to an unverified form.
Safer alternatives to selling the account
- Keep the account secured. Change the password if it has been shared, enable Riot's current sign-in protections and review the connected email.
- Stop spending without transferring access. You can leave the account inactive while retaining the option to return.
- Use Riot Support for closure. If you want the account removed, follow Riot's official account deletion process instead of handing it to a stranger.
- Buy future cosmetics only through official channels. Valorant's Store, Night Market and authorized prepaid codes avoid credential-transfer scams.
The money already spent on skins is a sunk cost, not an investment Riot promises to redeem. Keeping that distinction clear is safer than treating the inventory as guaranteed cash.

Can you sell individual Valorant skins?
No. Valorant does not provide item-to-item trading or an official resale marketplace for weapon skins. Cosmetics stay attached to the account.
