How to hide your previous Act Rank

1. Open VALORANT and go to Career.
2. Open the Act Rank or Ranked overview for the current act.
3. Locate the player-card display control for your previous Act Rank.
4. Turn off Show previous Act Rank on my Player Card, or the equivalent wording shown in the current client.
5. Return to the lobby and inspect your Player Card to confirm the badge is hidden.

Riot refreshed Settings presentation in 2026, and the control is tied to the Career/Act Rank presentation rather than a matchmaking reset. Follow the visible label if its exact placement differs after a client update.

What does hiding Act Rank actually do?

What can other players still see?

Hiding the previous-Act badge does not make the entire account anonymous. Players may still see the current Riot ID, equipped Player Card and title, match-specific information, and other social or Career details exposed by the current client. Tracker visibility is a separate question governed by Riot data access and each service's controls.

Riot introduced Act Rank as a record of proven skill and preserved past information in Career. The visible badge is only one presentation of that history. If you are trying to understand current progression rather than hide a badge, read our RR and double-rank-up explanation.

Is the Act Rank visibility setting the same on console?

The display purpose is the same, but button prompts and navigation can differ from PC. Use the current console Career and Act Rank screens, and look for the previous-Act Player Card option. If it is absent, confirm the client is current and that the account has a previous eligible Act Rank to display.

Do not follow a PC-only screenshot that asks you to edit a configuration file. This preference belongs in the game interface.

Why is the previous Act Rank still showing?

1. Confirm which badge you saw. A current rank icon, Premier crest, title, or gun buddy is not the previous Act Rank Player Card badge.
2. Recheck the correct Act Rank screen. General privacy settings and Streamer Mode do not necessarily control this badge.
3. Return to the lobby. Give the Player Card view time to refresh after changing the option.
4. Restart VALORANT. Close it normally and reopen the client.
5. Check for settings that revert. If several preferences reset, use the ordered fixes in our settings-reset guide.

Act Rank privacy does not change the climb

Hiding a badge cannot make an Immortal or Radiant climb easier. For current high-rank requirements, use the separate Immortal guide and Radiant guide. Can you hide your current rank with this option?

No. The option is specifically about the previous Act Rank badge shown on the Player Card. It is not a universal current-rank privacy switch.

Does hiding Act Rank reset MMR?

No. It changes presentation, not matchmaking data, RR, or hidden MMR.

Can you delete an old Act Rank?

The visibility option does not delete the record. Riot's original Act Rank design preserves past results in Career.

Will it hide the rank from tracker sites?

Not necessarily. Third-party data visibility uses separate Riot and service controls. A Player Card badge preference should not be treated as a tracker privacy setting.
