Fortnite’s lineup of cars keeps getting bigger, from exclusive collab rides like the Batmobile to licensed legends like the Dodge Charger Hellcat. But some of the coolest vehicles aren’t just in the Item Shop—they’re tied to Rocket League crossovers. Players now have the chance to unlock two iconic real-world cars, the Pontiac Firebird and the Chevrolet Astro, directly in Fortnite at no extra cost. These rewards aren’t permanent shop items but instead special unlocks tied to Rocket League progress, meaning you’ll need to link accounts and complete the right steps before the event ends. In this guide, we’ll break down exactly how to claim both vehicles and add them to your Fortnite garage.

The Pontiac Firebird is the first of the two crossover rewards tied to Rocket League’s Season 20 Rocket Pass. To unlock it, players need to purchase the Rocket Pass for 1,000 Credits, but Fortnite Crew members get it included automatically with their subscription. Once you have access to the pass, simply log into Rocket League anytime between September 17 and December 10, and the Firebird will be unlocked in Rocket League and instantly synced to your Fortnite account. From there, it shows up as a Sports Car skin in your Fortnite locker, ready to drive into matches without any extra cost.

The Chevrolet Astro works a little differently than the Firebird since it isn’t unlocked right away. Instead, players need to progress through the Rocket League Season 20 Rocket Pass and reach Tier 33 on the premium track before the season wraps up on December 10. Progress is earned by playing Rocket League matches and completing Weekly or Seasonal Challenges, which grant the XP needed to climb tiers. Once Tier 33 is reached, the Astro is automatically added to both Rocket League and Fortnite, where it appears as an SUV skin that you can equip directly from your Fortnite locker.
The Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Astro are the big prizes in Rocket League’s Season 20 Rocket Pass that transfer directly into Fortnite, but they aren’t the only cross-game rewards you can earn before the season ends on December 10. Along the way, players can unlock a variety of cosmetics that carry over, including themed wheels, decals, trails, and painted variants for both vehicles. For example, early tiers feature items like the Trapperzoid Rocket Boost, Center Square Wheels, and Firebird-themed decals, while later tiers include unique cosmetics for the Astro such as the Mall Cop and Band Van decals, plus several painted styles. As you progress, rewards keep stacking with special wheels like Mirrorbell and MT.E: Schematized, trails like Goth and Big Break, and even premium painted styles like the Pontiac Firebird Saffron or Chevrolet Astro Saffron. Reaching the higher levels of the pass unlocks rare styles like Titanium White boosts and radiant wheel colorways, giving both Rocket League and Fortnite players plenty of incentive to grind through the Rocket Pass.
The Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Astro are some of the most exciting additions Fortnite has seen through its crossover with Rocket League, and the best part is that you can unlock them without spending extra V-Bucks if you already own the Rocket Pass. By simply playing Rocket League and progressing through Season 20, these iconic cars transfer straight into Fortnite, alongside plenty of other themed rewards. Whether you’re chasing the Firebird’s classic style or the Astro’s versatility, this collab gives players more ways to stand out on the road and in the Battle Royale. If you’re looking to expand your collection, make sure to grind the Rocket Pass before the season ends on December 10 so you don’t miss out.
