All League of Legends Battle Passes (2018-2026)

All League of Legends Battle Passes (2018-2026)

AI Summary

League's current paid battle pass is Season 3: Act I, priced at 1,650 RP, with progression scheduled to end on 5 October 2026. Its featured final skin is Magma Chamber Veigar. League's paid-pass history reaches further back than Worlds 2018: Riot sold separate Order and Chaos mission passes during the 2017 VS event.

Last verified: 8 September 2026. This directory records 58 League PC gameplay-pass entries through that date. It separates early mission products, token-event passes, and modern act passes. Some original prices and deadlines could not be recovered; those gaps are identified instead of filled with today's rules.

The current pass: Season 3, Act I

Riot's current event guide lists a 29 July 2026 opening, 48 main levels, and eight repeatable levels. Each level requires 500 Battle Pass XP. Magma Chamber Veigar is the level-48 paid reward; the guide does not label it a Prestige skin.

  • Base pass: 1,650 RP.
  • Pass bundle: 2,650 RP.
  • Premium pass bundle: 3,650 RP.
  • Last progression day: 5 October 2026, 23:59 Pacific Time.
  • Pass deactivation: 6 October 2026, 23:59 Pacific Time. This is not an extra day to earn XP.

Compare the bundle's extra cosmetics and levels with what you actually want. A more expensive tier is a purchase option for the same pass, not another pass in the historical count. RP package sizes and cash prices vary by market; our RP price guide explains that distinction.

For a current purchase, check your own client before paying. This history is not a substitute for an account's displayed price or the event countdown.

What the 58-entry count includes

A qualifying entry is a paid League PC product that unlocks gameplay-mission or battle-pass progression. The two 2017 VS passes had separate mission tracks, so each counts once. Arcade's Mini and full Dungeon tiers count as one program; later pass bundles and premium bundles are also purchase tiers, not extra entries.

  • TFT and Wild Rift passes are excluded, even when they share an event name.
  • A themed skin release is not automatically a paid pass. Demacia Vice and Sugar Rush did not need separate entries beside their parent event cycles.
  • Free mission events, including PROJECT: Hunters 2017, are excluded from the paid-pass count.
  • Skin variants, Prestige rewards, and token-shop purchases are rewards or products, not additional passes.
  • A pass that crosses New Year belongs to the year it opened. The 2025 Worlds act therefore isn't counted again in 2026.

Esports exception: Riot's 2019 Team Pass and Fan Pass announcement describes regional esports-support products costing 980 RP. They are documented here separately from the gameplay-event inventory; region-specific team selections aren't dozens of extra event passes.

The tables use the most specific opening date recovered. A month-only entry is deliberate. “Not verified” means the historical price isn't established in the checked record, not that the pass was free. A named skin in the notes may have required tokens or progression; it wasn't necessarily granted just for purchasing the base pass.

Three systems that shouldn't be treated as interchangeable

2017: paid access to extra mission tracks

The VS and Arcade products show why “the first battle pass” needs a definition. They were paid mission passes, not copies of today's act track. Worlds 2018 is a useful starting point for the later token-pass era, but it is not the first qualifying paid mission product under this directory's broader rule.

2018–2024: earn and spend event tokens

These passes generally tied gameplay to event loot and token spending, but their missions and reward amounts changed over time. An event's Prestige skin often required a separate token exchange; buying the pass did not automatically put every themed skin in your collection.

Riot changed the event-track presentation for Worlds 2022. That interface change did not remove event tokens. Hall of Legends later used its own reward-track model, so it shouldn't inherit the ordinary event shop's deadlines or prices.

From 2025: direct rewards on seasonal act tracks

Riot's 2025 seasons explanation introduced the move from event-token spending to direct battle-pass rewards. The historical illustration below shows the first Noxus act, not the current 2026 reward track.

Welcome to Noxus Act 1 client screen showing the Chapter I reward track
Historical 2025 Welcome to Noxus pass screen, retained from 1v9's image library. It does not depict the current Season 3: Act I pass.

Even within the act system, don't recycle one XP number indefinitely. Riot listed 400 BXP per level for the 2026 Pandemonium Act II pass, while the current Season 3 guide lists 500. Use the specific act's documentation.

Four deadlines to read before buying late

  1. Purchase deadline: the last time you can buy premium access. It can outlast progression without giving you extra earning time.
  2. Progression deadline: when eligible gameplay and missions stop adding progress.
  3. Reward-claim or pass-deactivation deadline: when the event interface and its claiming opportunity close. Check whether the event automatically grants earned rewards rather than assuming it does.
  4. Token-shop deadline: relevant to historical token events. Currency could remain spendable after missions ended; modern direct-reward passes don't inherit a token shop.

Official extensions override launch announcements. Riot extended Star Guardian 2022 paid missions to 24 August at 11:00 PT. Its 14.14 notes also extended the 2024 Hall of Legends event. A copied launch calendar can miss both changes.

Regional migrations can create exceptions. Riot's Southeast Asia migration guide documented pass-progress resets and accelerated progression considerations. A date or mission value from one regional rollout should not silently become a universal rule.

Some original historical claim and purchase cutoffs remain unavailable in the sources checked. The directory does not equate a table's opening or progression date with all four deadlines.

An old pass doesn't guarantee permanent exclusivity

An ended pass and the availability of one of its skins are different questions. A skin may have a separate store, loot, or Mythic Shop route under the rules for that item. Borders, icons, special editions, and other extras may have different restrictions. This directory records original pass availability; it doesn't promise a full historical reward set will return.

Check the exact cosmetic in the current client and its applicable Riot announcement. Our Your Shop guide concerns personal discount offers, not the reactivation of old pass tracks. The skin-tier directory helps distinguish rarity labels from acquisition methods.

Questions about the pass history

Was Worlds 2018 the first League pass?

It starts the familiar token-pass era, but Riot sold paid mission passes in 2017. This directory includes those earlier products and explains their separate counting treatment.

Can several skin themes share one pass?

Yes. A pass is a progression product, not a synonym for a skin collection. Count the paid program, then describe the themes and token rewards within it.

Does buying a pass immediately grant its Prestige skin?

Not as a general rule. Historical token purchases and modern level rewards require their own progression or claiming conditions. More expensive collections may include skins directly, but those are different purchase offers.

Are League, TFT, and Wild Rift passes interchangeable?

No. They have separate products and progression systems. A shared event theme, or the presence of TFT-related missions in an old event, does not make a TFT Pass+ a League gameplay pass.

Should you buy near the end?

Check earned progress, the reward you can actually claim, and the remaining progression time. Don't buy on the assumption that the later purchase cutoff also extends the XP deadline.

The next announced special pass

Riot's 2026 Hall of Legends page names Caps and announces a pass opening on 10 September 2026. It isn't included in the released inventory above. The 1,950 RP pass and the separate Tristana collections are different products; its Risen Legend Orianna reward should not be confused with Uzi's 2025 Vayne track.

Update notes

8 September 2026: reconciled 58 gameplay-pass entries, separated early mission products and regional esports passes, checked the current act against Riot Support, and recorded historical evidence gaps. Contemporary secondary records are linked where original Riot event pages are no longer retrievable.
