Finding Sensors in Arc Raiders becomes a big priority once you start working through the Expedition Project, especially since you’ll eventually need a full stack of them to progress. Even though Sensors aren’t the rarest material in the game, you still need to know exactly where they spawn and which items can be safely broken down to craft more when you’re running low. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the best places to track them down, the loot sources that drop them most often, and the items worth recycling if you need extra Sensors fast. Start stocking up early—you’ll need a lot more than you think.

Sensors count as Security/Technological materials, so you’ll mostly find them in areas marked with the microchip or chevron icons. These spots are scattered all over the map, but a few locations consistently drop more Sensors than others. Here are the places worth prioritizing if you want fast, reliable Sensor farming:
Pilgrim’s Peak – The Blue Gate
This is easily the best Sensor farm in the entire game. The basement is packed with breachable server racks, and those almost always drop Sensors. Since Pilgrim’s Peak sits in the far northeast of The Blue Gate, it’s also a quieter area with fewer players, making it much safer to loot. If you want a straightforward run with minimal interruptions, start here.
Launch Tower – Spaceport
The Launch Tower is another strong pick, especially during Night Raids. The main rooms inside the tower contain several machines and server units, and each one has a solid chance of dropping Sensors. It’s located right in the center of Spaceport, so the location is more active, but the loot potential makes the risk worth it.
Arrival Building Basement – Spaceport
If you want a quick, focused Sensor run, the basement underneath the Arrival Building is a great option. It’s basically one small room stacked with servers, which makes it ideal for solo players. You get all the loot to yourself without having to split the finds across a squad.
Control Tower – Dam Battlegrounds
Control Tower has plenty of Sensor-friendly loot spots, especially on the second floor, but it’s also one of the most contested areas in the region. If you’re not afraid of PvP, this place can be extremely rewarding. It also connects directly to Research and Administration—another area filled with electronics, terminals, and tech crates that can drop Sensors. If you’re comfortable fighting other players, this whole zone becomes a solid farming loop.
If farming Sensors through raids feels too slow, you can speed things up by purchasing them directly from Celeste. She sells up to five Sensors per day, and each one costs 10 seeds. This makes her shop the perfect backup option when you’re trying to reach your goal of 20 Sensors for the Expedition Project without relying entirely on RNG.
You can also get Sensors by recycling specific electronic items you pick up during your runs. Here’s what you can safely dismantle:
• Broken Handheld Radio
• Radio
• Radio Relay
• Remote Control
• Spectrometer
• Spectrum Analysis Device
• Thermostat
All of these items are basically junk at the moment, so there’s no downside to breaking them down. Recycling is almost always the better choice compared to carrying them around, unless you’re trying to lighten your load in the field. Every one of these scrap electronics converts into Sensors, turning otherwise useless loot into something genuinely valuable.
You can’t craft Sensors yet, but between looting high-tech areas, recycling the electronics listed above, and buying a few from Celeste each day, gathering 20 Sensors becomes much easier than it looks.
Finding Sensors in Arc Raiders might seem overwhelming at first, but once you know the right spots to check and what scrap to recycle, the grind becomes much easier. Places like Pilgrim’s Peak, the Launch Tower, and key Spaceport basements consistently deliver great results, while Celeste’s daily stock and recyclable electronics help fill in the gaps when RNG isn’t on your side. As long as you start saving Sensors early and mix looting with smart recycling, hitting the 20 you need for the Expedition Project becomes a smooth and stress-free process.
