Honkai Star Rail 4.0 isn't just about new characters and story content — it's packed with minigames and side activities that are actually worth your time. A lot of these reward Pixcoin, a secondary currency you can use to pick up credits, materials, and other useful stuff from the update. Some of the side content tied to Pixcoin is also important for progression, so it's not something you want to ignore. Here's how to farm Pixcoin efficiently and make sure you're not leaving free rewards on the table.

Pixcoin is a new currency that came with the 4.0 update and you'll need it to track down Nameless Wispae. Getting your hands on it isn't complicated, but keep in mind there's a weekly cap on how many you can collect in Planarcadia. Here's every way to earn them.
The simplest way to pick up Pixcoin is just wandering around the map. They're scattered all over the place — along streets, tucked inside buildings, and sitting out in the open. If you're already exploring for chests and quests, you'll naturally grab a bunch without even trying. Pay extra attention around Nameless Wispae locations though, because we've noticed a lot of them tend to cluster in those areas.
These are the arcade-style parkour sections where you control Trailblazemon. You'll spot them as blue cylindrical portals attached to walls and floors around the map. Their main purpose is giving you access to hidden areas, but they're also loaded with Pixcoin and treasure chests along the way. Don't rush through them just to reach the end — take your time and grab everything inside because the Pixcoin adds up fast.
This one's a set of three minigames located at the end of Duomension City, right next to the Floating Grease Chronicles. Each minigame plays differently and they all have fun names — The Wispae that constantly falls, The Wispae that wants to fly but can't fly, and The Wispae waiting for money to fall from the sky.
Beyond being genuinely entertaining, these minigames hand out solid rewards based on your score. Hit 200 points and you get 5 Stellar Jades. Reach 500 and that's another 5 Stellar Jades. Push past 1,000 points for 100 Pixcoin, and if you can make it to 1,500 you'll walk away with an extra 200 Pixcoin on top of everything else. They're absolutely worth grinding out for both the Pixcoin and the free Jades.

Once you've stacked up a decent amount of Pixcoin, there are two main places to spend them.
This is where most of your Pixcoin will go. Head to the Star Rabbit Game console and use the Nameless Wispae guide to reveal their locations on your map. It costs 20 Pixcoin per reveal and only marks one at a time, so you'll need to keep coming back as you collect more coins. It's not the most exciting use of your currency, but if you're trying to track down every Wispae without running around aimlessly, it saves a ton of time.
This is the fun one. The shop sits right next to the Trailblazemon Grand Challenge in Duomension City, and it's stocked with a bunch of items you can grab with your Pixcoin. Prices range from just 1 Pixcoin all the way up to 2,000, so there's stuff here whether you've been grinding hard or just have a few coins to spare.
Here's what's available:
Trailblazing in Progress costs 2,000 Pixcoin and is the most expensive item in the shop. After that, Game Time!, Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Left-Right-Right, Soaring Beyond the Skyline, Most Wanted, Pitter-Patter, Bellow, Howl, Murmur, Recipe: Grudge Notebook, and Recipe: Steel Coil all run 200 Pixcoin each. On the cheaper end, Steel Coil and The Fluffy Multi-Functional Fan Glowstick go for 15 each, Bottled Quantum Ghost and Sea Monster's Touch are 10, Lucid Awl is 9, Dreamweave Steel costs 3, and both Whimsy Wax and 1,000 Credits are just 1 Pixcoin each.
If you're tight on Pixcoin, prioritize the items that actually help your account progression first. The recipes and crafting materials are going to be more useful long term than cosmetic stuff, so grab those early and save the expensive collectibles for when you've got coins to burn.
You get Pixcoin by exploring Planarcadia, doing Interplanar Jumps, and playing the Trailblazemon Grand Challenge minigames. Just roaming around the map and picking them up off the ground works too since they're scattered everywhere.
Pixcoin has two main uses — tracking down Nameless Wispae through the Star Rabbit Game console and buying items from the Oiiaiooo Shop in Duomension City. Both are worth spending your coins on.
Yeah, there's a weekly limit on how much Pixcoin you can collect in Planarcadia. Make sure you're farming consistently each week rather than trying to do it all at once right before the patch ends.
No. Pixcoin is exclusive to the 4.0 content in Planarcadia. You won't find it in any of the older worlds or through activities outside of the new update.
Version-specific currencies in Honkai Star Rail typically don't stick around forever, so it's best to spend your Pixcoin before the update cycle ends. Don't hoard them thinking you'll use them later — grab what you need from the shop and the Wispae guide while you still can.
Getting Pixcoin in Honkai Star Rail is all about knowing where to focus your time. Whether it comes from events, missions, limited-time activities, or specific in-game systems, understanding the most efficient ways to earn it will help you progress much faster.
Instead of grinding randomly, targeting the right content ensures you maximize your rewards and avoid wasting stamina or resources. Pixcoin may not always seem important at first, but stacking it consistently can give you a real advantage over time.
If you stay updated on active events and prioritize the best farming methods, collecting Pixcoin becomes much easier. With the right approach, you can steadily build your currency and make the most out of everything Honkai Star Rail has to offer.
