Warframe offers a massive arsenal of weapons, from classic bullet-sprayers to bizarre energy-infused tools of destruction—and the Riot-848 is a perfect blend of both. This full-auto secondary weapon channels Entrati tech to do something unique: it recycles spent rounds back into the magazine during reloads, creating a rhythm that rewards consistent firing and clever timing.
While it might take some getting used to, the Riot-848 is surprisingly powerful once you invest a few Forma into it. But before you can start tweaking builds or pushing it into high-level content, you’ll need to collect all the parts and craft it. In this guide, we’ll walk you through exactly how to get the Riot-848, including where to farm its components, how the drop system works, and what you’ll need to build it in your Foundry.
To get your hands on the Riot-848, you’ll need to jump into the Solstice Square Defense mission located in Hollvania. This area becomes accessible once you’ve completed The Hex quest, which unlocks all of the Warframe 1999 content. After finishing the quest, use the 1999 Terminal on your Orbiter to access the Hollvania map—Solstice Square is the top-left mission node.
The mission plays similarly to Lua Defense. You’ll defend Flare through multiple waves of enemies. After wave 3, the floor collapses and drops you into the sewer level, where the mission continues. The underground section is much tighter, with shorter enemy paths and more spawn points—perfect for speeding up waves if your build can handle the pressure.
As for farming the Riot-848, the parts can drop from any reward rotation in Solstice Square—Rotation A, B, and C—but your odds improve with higher rotations. The mission follows a AABC pattern every 12 waves, so plan your farming accordingly.
If RNG isn’t on your side, there’s another option: you can purchase all Riot-848 components directly from Flare in the Hollvania hub. You’ll need Beating Heartstrings, a currency earned by clearing waves in Solstice Square. It costs 300 Beating Heartstrings total to buy all parts this way, offering a guaranteed path if drops aren’t going your way.
Farming the Riot-848 takes a bit of patience, but understanding the drop rotation helps a lot. You can earn all four parts—Blueprint, Barrel, Receiver, and Stock—by playing the Solstice Square mission in Hollvania. This Defense mission follows a repeating AABC rotation, and each reward rotation kicks in every three waves. Rotation A occurs at waves 3, 6, 15, 18, and so on. Rotation B pops up on waves like 9, 21, 33, while Rotation C happens on 12, 24, 36, and so forth.
All parts of the Riot-848 can drop in any of these rotations, but the chances improve as you move into the later stages. Rotation A gives each part a low 0.97% drop chance. Rotation B bumps that up to 1.98%, and Rotation C offers the highest odds at 4.58% per part. So if you’re serious about farming this weapon, pushing into C rotations will give you the best shot at collecting everything.
If you’d rather skip the grind, you can buy the components from Flare in Hollvania using Beating Heartstrings, a currency you earn by clearing waves in Solstice Square. You’ll need 300 Heartstrings total to purchase all the Riot-848 parts directly.
Once you’ve got all the components, here’s what you’ll need to craft the Riot-848:
To build the final weapon, you’ll need the Barrel, Receiver, and Stock, along with 3 Orokin Cells and 25,000 Credits. Crafting the completed weapon takes 12 hours.
Each component also has its own crafting requirements:
Riot-848 Barrel needs 1,000 Alloy Plate, 300 Plastids, 130 Necracoil, 2 Entrati Lanthorns, and 15,000 Credits. It takes 12 hours to build.
Riot-848 Receiver requires 120 Efervon Samples, 500 Alloy Plate, 600 Entrati Obols, 700 Circuits, and 15,000 Credits. This also has a 12-hour build time.
Riot-848 Stock uses 16 Experimental Arc-Relays, 300 Salvage, 130 Necracoil, 2 Bellow Voca, and 15,000 Credits. Like the others, it takes 12 hours to craft.
It’s a bit of a grind, but once you’ve got it built, the Riot-848 is a standout secondary with a unique reload mechanic and strong scaling potential.
The Riot-848 is a unique and rewarding secondary weapon that’s well worth the effort if you’re looking for something fresh in Warframe. Its unusual reload mechanic and solid scaling potential make it a standout pick for players who enjoy fast-paced gunplay with a twist. Whether you farm the drops from Solstice Square or take the guaranteed route through Flare’s shop in Hollvania, there are multiple paths to getting this weapon. With some patience and the right resources, the Riot-848 can become a powerful and satisfying addition to your loadout.
